From the car park we cross the busy A83 to a well defined, steep path which zig zags through the forest.
Following a clear path up past the Narnain Boulders, views of The Cobbler open up. Continue on the established path before taking a left fork onto open ground, crossing some small streams to reach the rocky face of the mountain, with some scrambling required to reach the summit plateau. After exploring the peaks we descend via steep steps to the bealach between, The Cobbler, Beinn Ime and Narnain to join a straight forward descent route.
This is a Grade A/strenuous walk. Sturdy boots, gaiters and poles recommended. Care crossing the busy A83 to start walk. Care on final scramble to summit. Views of Ben Lomond, Loch Long and surrounding Arrochar Alps are spectacular.
The car park can be busy with walkers and therefore please note the earlier meeting time of 0830 for a prompt 0840 departure from Kilmarnock.
Please inform the walk leader if you plan to participate in this walk.
