We are Herts Weekend Walkers, HWW for Short . We are aimed at people aged in their 40s, 50s & 60s who are normally working during the week and can usually only find time to get outside and enjoy a walk at the weekend.

Overview

We meet opposite the cafe and car park in Trent Park EN4 0PS for a 1.00pm start. 

We head down the Lime Tree Avenue in the direction of the house and new development before heading in the direction of Shaws Wood and Hogs Hill eventual arriving on the Ridgeway passing Chase Farm Hospital before joining the London Loop and the Historic Enfield Chase before rejoining Trent Park near the Earl Grey Obelisk. We then make our way through park via the Lime Tree Avenue and back to our starting point. We will be meeting for refreshments at the Cock Inn in Chalk Lane EN4 9HU, a five minute drive away.

Please note this is an earlier start than usual, 1.00pm due to the Park closure at 4.00pm. 

The route in many places is extremely muddy especially in the park and associated areas walking boots or wellies are a must.
