Overview

This is a circular walk starting and finishing at Colchester Main Station.

Initially heading east through the Castle Park and along the River Colne. We follow the river on the less  well-trodden path to the picturesque village of Rowhedge  After stopping at Rowhedge for a break we head inland through Friday woods and back to the start through Colchester City Centre.

Please bring a picnic and good boots as there are muddy stretches.  Pub stop at the end near the station.

We aim to keep a steady pace of around 3mph.
