This walk starts at Colchester and follows the River Colne and picturesque Colne Valley. We then arrive at Wakes Colne Rail Station where you have the option to get the train back to Colchester or join the Chappel Winter Beer Festival.

We will walk directly to Wakes Colne (no lunch stop, but their will be a short coffee / drinks stop).
Numbers are limited and need to be prebooked directly with the walk leader who will then confirm location. It will also be helpful if you can advise the walk leader if you are going to the Beer Festival.
Please note path maybe muddy / damp in places so boots are highly recommended.
The group tends to walk at a moderate steady pace of 2 – 2.5 miles an hour, and there is requirement of all walkers to respect the general pace.
Meeting point is outside the main entrance of Colchester Station CO1 1XD (not Colchester Town Station). There are 2 entrances at Colchester station and the main entrance has bus stops on the Concourse. There is a car parking fee of £5 at the station and payment is by card or cash.
