The start of the walk is at the Bayview Precinct in Colwyn Bay, with the MEETING POINT by Costa Café (reached by going through the shopping precinct). Parking is available in the top car park or, if full, the underground car park. Use LL29 8DG or SH852 789 to reach it, Junction 21 off the A55. The car park is free for 2 hours, you get a ticket and pay the difference on return. There are public toilets within the precinct.
The walk then proceeds from the Bayview area to Colwyn Bay pier along the Coastal Path towards Rhos-on-Sea, Penrhyn Bay and Llandudno where we take the Arriva Number 12 bus back to Colwyn Bay.
This is a leisurely walk which will offer an opportunity to appreciate the recent refurbishment of the promenade in Colwyn Bay/Rhos-on-Sea with its array of artful seating, planters and art work as well as places to recharge your mobile! There are public toilets in Rhos-on-Sea and a little further, we will have a coffee stop by the tiny St Trillo's Chapel (7seats) before continuing towards Penrhyn Bay. Dependent on the tide we will either walk on the beach or stay on the upper path to rejoin the Coastal Path and detour to Angel's Bay/Porth Dyniewaid to watch the seals and break for lunch.
We will stay on the flat and stray from the Coastal Path to rejoin foot/cycleways heading towards Llandudno and rejoin the Coastal Path towards town to the bus stop. Toilets on the promenade on this final stretch.
