We are the Hike Oxfordshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We'll be hosting a 10.5-mile circular route starting and ending in the village of Combe. We'll head across the fields towards Blenheim Palace, picking up the main footpath that takes us around the edge of the estate in an anti-clockwise direction. We'll pass the walled gardens on the south side and make our way up past the main house, stopping at a lovely spot for our packed lunch with a magnificent view across the lake towards the arch bridge.
Our journey then takes us around the bottom lake before we leave the estate, heading in a northeasterly direction away from Woodstock. A few miles later, we rejoin the northern side of the Blenheim estate, passing by the memorial seen in the far distance, and continue west back towards the village of Combe.
This walk offers a combination of luscious fields, lakes, riverside paths, and, of course, the beautiful scenery of Blenheim Palace. We don't require a day ticket as our journey through the estate is along the edge.
*Non-Ramblers members are welcome and are able to attend 3 walks before joining the Ramblers*
Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of water.
Walking boots or suitable footwear for hiking is required.

🌧️ Weather Precautions: While we hope for dry weather, it's wise to be prepared. Please bring suitable footwear and an anorak if rain is forecasted.
🚗 Getting There: For those arriving by car, there is plenty of parking around the village green, we just ask you please resepct nearby propeties and refrain from parking near to or across people's driveways.
For those who maybe considering car sharing, for your upmost safety we please ask you to travel together in groups where possible or at least with a driver you already know.
