We meet by Cowdray Castle; one of England's most important early Tudor houses known to have been visited by both King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I. In 1793, whilst the Castle was undergoing renovations, a devastating fire took place and the Castle was ruined with only the kitchen tower remaining. We will see the ruins as we pass making our way to the Cowdray Park Polo Club. From there we hike through fields, a pretty holloway and country lanes.
Meet in North Street car park for an 11am start - there is a charge of £2.20 for 6 hours.
Everyone welcome, and well behaved dogs.
Bring snack and drinks for 2 stops.
Drinks after will be decided on the day.
