Overview

Starting from the carpark, we will head up the tarmac road for just over a kilometre to the caravan site. We'll then start on the path leading towards the summit (steady climb with some rocks and roots) but will branch off this on the path round the hill beside Loch Gynack for about 2.5 k. We will then climb steadily to the summit ridge on a narrow path. This is over moorland with some boggy patches with one short steeper section.  This leads to one of the hill's rocky pinnacles. Then along the ridge path to the summit and a wee wind shelter for lunch. After that, reverse back along the ridge but descend the easy path into the woods on the south side and a short walk on tarmac back to the carpark .
