The long Wednesday walk that Chris Leigh will be leading on 7 June starts from Cremyll and involves catching the 9.45 ferry from Admirals Hard, Stonehouse, Plymouth (SX461539). The nearest car park in Strand Street will almost certainly be full. Walkers are advised to park in Royal William Yard. The charges have recently increased and we'll have to pay £10.00 for the length of time that we need to be there. So please car share as much as possible.
The ferry now costs £2.50 per person each way. PLEASE CAN THOSE PLANNING TO GO ON THE WALK LET CHRIS KNOW BY 31 MAY - email - christopher.r.leigh@gmail.com. Chris will then book a discounted party ticket in advance with the ferry company.
The 11 mile moderate walk will follow the Coast Path south from Cremyll through Kingsand and Cawsand, around Penlee Point and Rame Head before heading back inland to Cremyll through Kingsand, Cawsand, Maker and Mount Edgcumbe Country Park. There is a cafe at the Country Park to stop for a drink before catching the 15.30 ferry back to Plymouth.
