After parking on the roadside in the village we’ll walk alongside the River Yeo before making our way up steeply for ¾ of a mile to Crook’s Peak (627ft) where we will have panoramic views of the surrounding area. We will then make our way across Wavering Down to a trig point in 1¼ miles, before walking on and down to a ridge which we will walk along for ¾ mile before dropping down a steep pathway back to the village.
Bring a drink and snack.
Walking poles will be useful too.
This is a moderate/quite strenuous walk.
