Overview

From car park our walk turns right at toilet block passing caravan site on the left. The path takes us over Crowden Brook to pick up the Pennine Way trail on the right.  We soon turn left to gradually climb up to Lad's Leap and Millstone Rocks. Descending over Tintwistle Moor to Arnfield Lane in Tintwistle.  Crossing over Bottoms Reservoir, the Goyt Valley Way and Longdendale Trail takes us on easy paths alongside Bottoms, Valehouse, Rhodeswood Reservoirs before crossing Torside Reservoir back to the car park on the Pennine Way. This terrain can be rough and muddy in places.

These reservoirs are part of the Longdendale Chain of 5 namely: Woodhead, Torside, Rhodeswood, Valehouse and Bottoms.
