A pleasant walk that takes us along towpath, a disused railway line, and across three rivers, as well as the usual sprinkling of woods and fields. The odd undulation and a few gentle steps but not too taxing in terms of surface, ascent or stiles. Our first refreshment break is on the canal and we make a short detour for lunch on Croxley Green, where there are benches plus an optional visit to The Artichoke pub.
Free car parking and toilets at the start. Rickmansworth station is just under a mile away.
