Overview

Hello Everyone

Ah, Cubley! Just off the A515 Ashbourne road. Our members have driven past it time without number en route to the Peak District, so now it's time to visit Cubley in its own right. It's quite a vibrant community actually.

Walk leader Gary has designed a figure-of-eight route to suit most abilities with a 3.5 mile primary circuit followed by a 5 mile secondary one, so complete the first loop only back to our starting point (where we'll all take a short break) then perhaps continue on with us for a further five miles to bag the full walk distance of 8.5 miles.

This Moderately graded event takes in rolling countryside on field footpaths, more firmer type tracks, and a little lane walking. Approximately 20 stiles in total and some muddy bits here and there.

Fancy joining us? You're most welcome to do so! If this is your very first time with the group it'd be great if you could let us know you'll coming along beforehand, thank you.

Facilities available at the start courtesy of Mary Clowes Village Hall where we also have permission to park. We'd like to make a donation to them of £1 per person, thank you. No loose change please if you can help it.

The hall's committee have recently licensed their premises and the bar will be open for light refreshments afterwards🍺☕🍰😋.Thank you Peter. Thank you Charlotte.

See you all there on Sunday morning folks!
