We are the Kilmarnock & Loudoun Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This 8 mile circular walk will start at the grass car park at the far end of Ardlochan Road in Maidens. We will walk along the beach before turning into the park and past the Swan Pond (toilets) we will then follow a path through The Cat Gates (also known as Swinston Gates) before following various paths round the park until we reach Maybole shore (Croy Bay). We then have a short section of stone beach to walk before we reach the 126 steps to the visitor centre for lunch break, the cafe and toilets will be open...after lunch we will walk through the Park and pick up the cliff walk with some splendid coastal views (fingers crossed) and return to the cars.
Please note the Walk Leader (Mattie) will meet you at Maidens car park for a 10:00 start.

Risk: some of the paths are muddy and have exposed tree roots, Maybole shore has a stone shore line and care must be taken, walking poles and boots are recommended.
