Overview

This has proved to be a popular walk over the last few years. We cross on the ferry as a group, walk together to the high point on the island and then split for a long route around Cumbrae and a shorter route, but both routes visit the 'capital' of Millport.

The start of the walk rises gently to the high point on the island at just over 100 metres, but the views from the top are well worth it.

The measurements on this one are for the longer walk which returns to the ferry via the West Coastal road around Cumbrae, passing Fintry Bay.

The walks is on pavement and tarmaced road so you may wish to wear trainers or hiking shoes to be more comfortable.

The social is at Largs once we have returned on the ferry.
