From Dacre Bank we make our way over to Summerbridge, we then have a short uphill climb before turning off to follow the footpath over to Highfield farm and then Springhouse farm. At this point we turn off and drop down through the fields and head down to the river Nidd in the valley below, a short walk alongside the river then brings us into the village of Darley were will stop for a lunch break. After the break we continue on beside the river before turning off and heading up to the village of Dacre then across several fields and back into Dacre Bank
The walk is mainly across farmland with some short spells of road walking with a few stiles at the latter end of the walk. We may encounter some cattle within some of the fields we have to cross which also may be quite muddy in places. Refreshments after the walk will be at the Royal Oak P.H. opposite the car park.
