A walk along the banks of the River Derwent to the Museum of Making where we can have a coffee break and a quick look round.  Then through the City of Derby, out to Markeaton Park and across fields to the outskirts of Quarndon.  From their we enter Allestree Park, through woodland and the grounds of the park to the lake.  We cross the River Derwent and go under the A38 to rejoin the Dewent Valley Heritage Trail back to our cars.
