We are the Livingston Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

Starting with a walk through East Calder passing a medieval gravestone where you would least expect to see one, followed by a woodland & riverside walk through Almondell & Calderwood Country Park.
We will pass under the dramatic viaduct before walking through the former Almondell Estate steeped in history & natural beauty & crossing several other notable bridges spanning the River Almond on our return to the start point.
The Country Park is a wildlife haven with roe deer, fox, heron, otters, woodpeckers & many more animals making their home here. Who knows what we might be lucky enough to spot.
The walk is along a mixture of paved, gravel & grass paths. Some of these paths may be muddy after rain. Some of the path is unlit so please bring your head/hand torch just in case you need some extra light.
For car sharing meet at Livingston North Railway Station car park, Glasgow Side at 6.25pm Please let me know when you book a place on the walk if you want to car share.
Almondell & Calderwood Country Park South car park, Drovers Road, East Calder 6.45pm.
