Overview

We start our hike from East Dean at 10.00am and climb gradually to meet up with the South Downs Way (SDW).

We leave the SDW to descend down to Graffam and continue over to Heyshott. We then ascend back up onto the South Downs and make our way back to East Dean.

The decent down to Graffam is fairly steep and so is the ascent back up onto the Downs and it can be a bit slippery so those who use poles may want to bring them along. The hike will be at a reasonable pace and dogs are welcome under control. We will have two short breaks for coffee and lunch and there is the Star & Garter at the end of the hike back in East Dean.
