We are the Greater Manchester & High Peak Area Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Latest - Due to the wet weather conditions, parts of the walk along the Mersey River are very muddy. You are advised to wear strong waterproof walking boots on the walk.

Car Park - Available at East Didsbury Metrolink Stop
Walk route – Once we leave East Didsbury Metrolink stop, we make our way towards the Mersey River, passing through a tiny housing estate and woods. We walk along the river bank with a possible short stop at Fletcher Moss Gardens (toilets), then we rejoin the river past the Northenden play area and to Burton Road Metrolink Stop.
Expected time back at Burton Road Metrolink - no later than 3.00pm. For car users it is a short journey by tram to East Didsbury Metrolink stop
Walking boots or shoes and clothing (waterproof jacket in wet weather conditions) essential.
Please bring a light lunch and non-alcoholic drinks.
