Welcome on this pleasant walk in Teesdale. Meet at Vane Terrace for departure at 9:30 or at Eggleston Abbey carpark at 10:15 (Map Ref. NZ062151 OS Map OL31, Postcode: DL12 9TH, W3W: absorb.unites.eyeful). The carpark is free but take care on the driveway to it as some large potholes in that drive. Setting off from Egglestone Abbey we walk through woods and fields and some road walking to Barnard Castle. Picnic/Coffee stop in Barnard Castle then back past Bowes Museum on the Teesdale Way to Egglestone Abbey. Moderate walk with maximum climbing over the route of 225ft.  Distance is 5.5miles
