We are Reigate Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Meet at Redhill bus station at 10.20am in order to catch the (approx. 10.30am) 100 bus to Povey Cross West bus stop (or meet there at 11am). We are taking a walk through two of the green spaces near Gatwick. The first of these goes by the name “North West Zone Biodiversity Area”. We walk beside the R Mole hoping to see some of the abundant flora and fauna. Mainly grassy underfoot, some nettles and brambles so trousers rather than shorts recommended. Trainers should be fine unless there’s been recent rain (this is a functioning flood plain!). After around 2 miles we reach the N Terminal where we can “transit” to the S Terminal (toilets here). Those wanting a shorter walk can opt out here. We then head to Riverside Garden Park for the second part of the walk and a picnic lunch. Afterwards we return to the S Terminal bus stops where we can return to Redhill (or Reigate and beyond!).
