Today’s walk takes us from Maidenhead to Marlow along the River Thames and offers a serene and picturesque route that combines tranquil riverside scenery with historic sites. Starting in Maidenhead, we’ll head towards the River Thames, which is flanked by lush trees and pretty houseboats and is a perfect spot to watch the water flow and boats drift by. The path takes through riverside paths and open meadows, with the occasional swan gliding across the water. You'll pass under beautiful old bridges, and as you walk, we’ll spot a mix of wildlife, from herons to kingfishers, as well as expansive views across the water and quaint glimpses of villages on the opposite bank. As we approach Marlow, where we finish the walk. the spire of All Saints Church and the historic Marlow Bridge come into view to add to the sense of timeless charm. The town centre offers a riverside view with its charming Georgian houses, and is where we’ll be stopping off at The Marlow Donkey for those who want a pint at the end of the walk.

DRIVING: Maidenhead station has 159 spaces, where parking fees apply. As this is a linear walk, you'll need to travel back to Maidenhead at the end of the walk.
