Overview

Starts from Embsay Public Car Park, next to the Elm Tree  Inn. No charge. (If full please park consideratey in the village.) A walk along quiet tracks and paths across moorland, taking in Upper Barden Reservoir and Embsay Crag, with some good views along the way. Some of the paths/tracks are uneven and cross tussocky grass so you need walking boots. Bring waterproofs, walking poles useful. Total ascent approx 330m, mainly at start. Possible visit to the Elm Tree at the end
