We are the Hike Essex Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The seventh and final stage of this epic journey. We travel the final 12 miles through beautiful rolling west Essex countryside. Finally hitting Epping forest and the finish at Epping Station.
We go via the gorgeous Greensted Church. It claims to be the oldest wooden church in the country and the oldest wooden building in Europe.
We will stop for breaks, so bring a picnic. There will be a pub at the end and maybe some grub in Epping to celebrate completing the distance from Harwich.

We will meet at Chelmsford bus station and get the bus to Willingale for the start. Full details and times in the meeting point section below.
There are tubes and trains to London travel hubs from Epping.

We will meet at Chelmsford bus station at 10.00 (Platform 6 · Stop ID: esxjdmwg) to catch the 10.15 to Willingale. Arrives in Willigale at 10.50 The bus is #46 - Journey time 33 minutes. The bus is every 2 hours, so if you're late we can't wait
We start from Willingale in front of the churches . Bus from Chelmsford set to arrive here at 10:50, so we will leave Willingale around then
Finishing at Epping Tube Station with onward travel to all major London stations.
