Meet outside the Six Bells pub in Fulbourn at 10:45 for a leisurely 6½-mile circular walk visiting Great and Little Wilbraham, with a pub stop around the halfway point at the Carpenters Arms (no apostrophe 🙁) in Great Wilbraham. An obvious (but optional) second pub stop would be the Six Bells at the end of the walk.
We organise on Meetup, so please let us know you are coming by signing up via the website link
Unless you can last the distance without food, or will be happy with just a packet of crisps from the pub, bring something to eat. We'll find somewhere to sit down just before the pub stop, although due to a lack of picnic benches in the area, this will likely be on the ground.
There are buses from Cambridge to Fulbourn, but as far as I can see, they only go as far as the Hat and Rabbit pub. From here it's still about 0.6 more miles to the Six Bells, so anyone getting the bus from Cambridge will end up walking a total of nearly 8 miles. To help you find the way to the Six Bells, I will meet the bus which arrives at the Hat and Rabbit at 10:32, and then walk with you to the Six Bells. This bus is the Stagecoach no. 1 which leaves Emmanuel Street (stop E2) at 09:48, Cambridge rail station (stop 3) at 09:58, and Addenbrookes (bay B) at 10:08. The full timetable is here:

It's a slow bus ride if you're coming all the way from Emmanuel Street (44 minutes to travel a few miles), or even from Arbury before that, so unless you would enjoy that, and walking the extra 1.2 miles, you might want to look for alternatives such as getting a lift with someone, or cycling.
For drivers: it's usually possible to find a free parking space along Manor Walk which is within sight of the Six Bells. The postcode is CB21 5RJ.
