Overview

This a varied circular walk starting from the small village of Gartmore initially through the Gartmore Estate and along the disused railway to Aberfoyle. We will then cross the river and passing the Old Kirk at Kirkton and to an optional visit to Doon (Fairy) Hill. We will then make our way through Loch Ard Forest and cross country back to Gartmore.

This is a low level walk  in the Trossachs with variety of scenery.

Although mainly on forestry type tracks there are sections of field and woodland walking with gates and stiles.

There are toilet and eating facilities in Aberfoyle and it is possible the pub in Gartmore will be open.

There is also a small shop in Gartmore for snack food
