Overview

Circular walk starting in The Avenue, Gifford, Haddington, EH41 4AD. Heading out from The Avenue, near the Mercat Cross we walk up through the common and past Winding Law.  We walk through the farmland til past Baro Farm.  Then we are into Baro woods and follow the loch round.  We leave the woods and Bara Loch on the opposite side we came in.  The return to Gifford is similar but slightly shorter with a little bit of road walking.

Some of the tracks are quite rough, and it can be very muddy if it's been raining.  Gaitors and sticks recommended.

Please contact walk leaders to join the walk J. Fellowes (07967 688453) or M. Fellowes (07906 449264, text messages only please)
