I don’t expect many of you know that Croydon is the London Borough of Culture for 2023! As part of this there is a trail of many large and small painted giraffes (local artists, schools etc have decorated them), so join us as we hunt down some of these giraffes in Croydon – it’s not just for the kids. Easy pavement walking throughout with barely a slope, but lots of road crossings to negotiate. Come self-sufficient with coffee and a picnic. We’ll have a coffee break (beside a giraffe!) very soon after arriving in Croydon and our picnic near the end of the trail. We will take you back to the correct bus stop for the return journey, but you are then free to head to the shops (or, for the completionists, seek out the remaining giraffes!) if you so wish. We have lots of maps for you all.
