Overview

The route from Beggar's Bridge follows a village road to Miller's Wood, through the wood to Miller's Cottage then following the riverside path N over the railway to Rake Farm. We turn due W to Low Brock Rigg then S to High Brock Rigg and Sunny Brake, crossing the road at Broad Leas, to follow moorland tracks reachng the road at the old school. We then take a quiet road SSE to New House Farm and Bank House Farm, where we follow a track E uphill to the car park on Smith's Lane, which we follow to the old county road N to Lodge Hill Farm and back to Beggar's Bridge.

There are no fields with cattle and there are two steep climbs, it is very muddy underfoot so walking poles would be useful.

There are toilets at Glaisdale Station, 100yds from the car park.

There will be a ten minute break. Please feel free to bring a drink/snack to enjoy.
