We are the Lower Wye Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A circular walk from Goytre Wharf in the undulating countryside of the Usk valley, passing through Nant-y-Derry, on towards Croes Llanfair before returning through the Llanover Estate and along the banks of the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal.
Coffee and lunch breaks (packed lunch required)
Moderate - Several inclines. Waterlogged fields. Two sections of road walking along country lanes.
Stiles - 22 (one difficult and a few that are a bit wobbly).
From Chepstow head towards Raglan then take A40 towards Abergavenny. At first roundabout when approaching Abergavenny take left turn (A4042) towards Llanellen and at Llanover take the right hand signposted turn for “Goytre Wharf” following the lane before turning left into the car park.
