NLSH Ramblers is a really friendly group, whose members all share a love of walking and the countryside. You’ll always receive a warm welcome from us, whether you want to walk with us regularly or from time to time.
A moderately paced winter walk along the Grand Union Canal towpath from Berkhamsted. We climb Norcott Hill and walk over Northchurch Common, returning to Berkhamsted railway station.
Bring water and a snack and we will find a suitable spot for a short break.
Berkhamsted railway station, Meet in the parking area by the castle entrance. Junction of Brownlow Road & White Hill, under the railway bridge (left) from station front entrance. Free parking along the castle wall or railway embankment wall. Take Bourne End exit from A41. From Berkhamsted High Street follow Castle St or Lower Kings Rd towards the station.
