This scenic walk starting from Great Chesterford, heading towards Abington Park Farm, passing past Hildersham Wood, and then joining the Icknield Way back to Great Chesterford.
The Icknield Way is an ancient trackway that runs from Norfolk to Wiltshire. It is said to be one of the oldest roads the route to date back to Neolithic times before the Romans occupied the country. It was part of an ancient trading route that followed the chalk ridge across southern England, from the Norfolk coast to the Dorset coast.
