small woods, chalk streams and ancient settlements containing many listed buildings. Via Little
Chesterford, the historic market town of Saffron Walden, Audley Park (impressive view of Audley End
House (English Heritage)), Abbey Farm (drop-out by road to Audley End Station), Debden Water and
Newport. Lunch in Saffron Walden at the 15th century 'Eight Bells' pub or picnic in Bridge End Garden.
