Moderately-paced walk 11 mile walk over undulating terrain. (Map E181/L165.
Route: Great Missenden – Little Wood Corner – Ballinger - The Lee - Grove Wood - Lownde's Wood - Chartridge - Asheridge - Widmore Wood - Great Hivings - Chesham.
Lunch: Pub lunch, or picnic nearby.
Meet at Great Missenden Station at 10.40 - outside main entrance.
Travel: Marylebone 09.57/Harrow-on-the-Hill 10.09 - Chiltern Railways Aylesbury Vale Parkway train - arr Great Missenden at 10.40.
Note: Check trains the day before. If the timetable is altered catch the train that arrives at - or before - 10.55.
If there are engineering works involving a replacement bus, check website/phone * for details of the substitute walk.
Ticket/Fare: Oyster/Contactless/Freedom Pass plus Single from Amersham (Zone 9) to Great Missenden.
Finish: Chesham Station (Zone 7 - Metropolitan line).
