We are the London Strollers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
You may wish to find refreshments before the walk starts. This is a linear walk of about four and a half miles via the shopping centre (toilets), Walthamstow High Street, Coppermill Lane, past Walthamstow Wetlands to the Lea Valley, where we briefly join the River Lea. We follow the river under Lea Bridge before crossing Millfields Park and taking quiet roads to Lower Clapton where we join the Churchwell Path to the centre of Hackney where catering facilities are available. The walk ends close to Hackney Central and Hackney Downs stations. Should finish by about 14.00.

Walthamstow Bus Station. The bus station is opposite Walthamstow Central station, Zone 3, Victoria Line. (No London Overground trains from Liverpool Street to Walthamstow Central today because of engineering works)
