We are the Take a Hike Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This will be a moderate paced linear walk of two halves. The first half is in the valley and through farmland, with the second half on Burley Moor. We head from Guiseley train station up through the park to the ridge above the town before dropping down to Menston village. After a few lanes we head up to Burley Moor and the Cow and Calf dropping down to Ikley. Views will be awesome if the weather is playing ball but the I can guarantee it will be muddy in places.
Trains are every half hour from Leeds to Guiseley/Ikley and every hour from Bradford. Please note the return journey is from a different station than you arrive at, so buy your ticket accordingly. We will end the walk in Ikley at a cafe or pub for refreshments after the walk.
