A walk in the Northumberland countryside from Haltwhistle to Hadrian's Wall, west along the wall to Cawfield Quary and back to Haltwistle through Haltwhistle Dean.

The walk is over mixed ground, paths, rough tracks and fields, some with quite long grass.   There were are a couple of boggy parts so waterproof boots recommended.   There are two steep assents through fields and steep stony descents at Hadrian’s Wall, people may find walking poles useful.  There were cattle in a couple of the fields so no dogs please.
