We are the Wolverhampton Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A relatively flat walk Trent Valley area to the west of Rugeley. Starting from Hamstall Ridware through the four Ridwares and Nethertown. We are hoping to get some pleasant views of the Trent Valley (weather permitting). 16 stiles.
There will be a short drinks stop and a slightly longer lunch stop - so remember to bring a drink and a packed lunch.
This is a joint walk with Tamworth and Lichfield Ramblers.
The walk will Start from The Shoulder of Mutton Inn car park at 10am. Tamworth & Lichfield Ramblers will meet in Lichfield at 9.30am for car sharing and travel to the start of the walk. You can either go to Lichfield or go straight to the start of the walk, but if you go straight to the start of the walk please let the walk leader know by text, phone or Whatsapp.
The walk leader has only been able to book four cars onto the Pub car park. There is On Street parking in the Village but you have to get it on the Day.
Do make sure you're fit enough and have the right footwear and clothing for weather conditions and the walk you want to do. You can contact the group or leader if in doubt. Non-members of the Ramblers Association are welcome to join us on a couple of walks before deciding whether to join the group.
Tamworth & Lichfield Ramblers will meet at the Lichfield College car park, off the Friary, at 9.30 am for car sharing.
