We are the Black Country Young Walkers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Jean is leading a 9 mile circular walk, starting from Gateway Car Park, onto the Droitwich Junction Canal, past some locks and crossing over to the Birmingham and Worcester Canal. Walking along here, looking out for a possible siting of a Kingfisher. Then taking a right turn through some fields to Hanbury Church. Here, we will stop for an early lunch (12 noonish) on some convenient benches over looking the landscape around. The church is an optional visit too at this point. After lunch, we will head downhill to The Ginny Ring Centre for a coffee or a quick peruse around the craft shops. 30 mins max. Continuing after this stop to cross fields (look out for deer) to Hanbury Hall. A beautiful historic house. Then walking through its grounds to more fields and back onto the Birmingham/Worcester Canal to the carpark.
