We are the Take a Hike Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starting at Harrogate Railway Station this linear route follows the link from Harrogate to Ilkley, taking in Valley Gardens, Harlow Carr Gardens, Swinsty Reservoir, Timble, Denton Moor and Middleton before finishing in Ilkley. Post walks drinks as always will be in Bar T'at.
Getting to Harrogate: 08:59 train from Leeds to arrive in Harrogate at 09:33. There are regular buses (#36) from Leeds to Harrogate - 08:35 arrive in Harrogate 09:28.
Return from Ilkley : There are regular trains from Ilkley to Leeds and Bradford Forster Square.
The X84 bus runs twice hourly to Otley, then Leeds. For walkers living in Harrogate the direct bus (X52) is only running from Otley (18:00 last Bus) to Harrogate. Use the X84 service from Ilkley (17:15) to Otley (17:37) then get the X52, if you miss this bus then it will be a train into Leeds then out to Harrogate.
