Overview

West along South Downs Way, through West Harting Down, Compton, Harting Downs. A few hills but nothing violent. Probably some mud. Plenty of trees and fine views if the weather is kind.

Harting Downs NT carpark. On B2141 south of South Harting. £3 carparking charge via PayByPhone app or phone. (details www.paybyphone.co.uk/NationalTrust). NT members free but bring your membership card. NOTE: The B2141 through South Harting village is closed. I believe it is possible to get through via Tipper Lane (east of the village) but perhaps best to approach the carpark from the south.
