The route includes woodland walks in Hawthorn Dene, coastal paths along the cliff-tops and some steep climbs up and down to the beach. Walking poles advised for the steep sections, especially after rain. Livestock may be present in the fields near Beacon Hill, so no dogs permitted on this walk.
