From The Stag PH walk along lanes and fields until we get to a lane once owned by The Chartist Movement with its beautiful houses in large gardens and a tiny church. We head then down the fields to ancient woodland and back up towards Heronsgate on a track, then across fields back to the pub. Picturesque.
May be muddy at gates and elsewhere but largely on good paths or lanes and tracks.
LUNCHING - THE PUB HAS REQUESTED THAT IF LUNCHING, THE MENU CHOICES NEED TO BE RETURNED TO THEM BY SUNDAY 7TH. (If not lunching but happy to come in for a drink you may also use the car park.) If not lunching please park elsewhere such as Heronsgate Lane or Stag Lane but note there is no parking anywhere down Long Lane. There are two menus and the best way to find out what the "main menu" is - is to search on your computer for The Stag at Heronsgate, Chorleywood. Please email your choice along with any allergies to the walk leader in good time.
The most up to date "lunch menu" has been sent to me and is as follows:
£9.50 Proper club sandwich
£7.95 Sausage bap, salad & chips
£7.95 Fish finger sandwich with tartare sauce
£10 Ham, egg & chips
£12.95 Rump steak open sourdough sandwich, onions, garlic mayo, chives & skin on chips
£9.50 Soup of the day with either welsh rarebit or ham on white sourdough
£9.50 Sausage, wholegrain mustard mash & onion gravy
£11.50 beer battered fish & chips, minted mushy peas and tartare sauce
