A short afternoon walk taking in, not necessarily in this order, woodland footpaths, green tracks, a field or two and some very pleasant road walking with plenty of opportunities for rubber-necking as we pass the mansions along Harmer Green Lane.
There is much glorious open countryside as we come out of the woods we pass through or alongside, including Little Barnes Wood, Harmer Green Wood and Lockleys Wood.
Also of note is the air shaft for the railway tunnel which makes an exciting whooshing noise when a train goes through!
The walk will finish in time to join other walkers for refreshments at Digswell Village Hall from 4pm.
Dogs are welcome on a lead.
Suitable for children who are good independent walkers.
Walk Leader: Vivienne B
