Overview

A really varied walk circling around Lightwater, starting across the heathland of Turf Hill, then along part of the new Pirbright Military Heritage Trail before passing - but not entering - the MoD "Alpine Test Tracks" for military vehicles, and up a very steep climb to the viewpoint on High Curley Hill for a well-earned break with views to the City of London on a clear day, followed by a much more gentle descent across the lowland heath of Lightwater Country Park to its lakes, then to South Farm and finally through Windlesham Arboretum with occasional glimpses of its statues and follies.
