Overview

This is a circular walk through the attractive countryside of The Weald in the Kent/Sussex borders. Starting from Tunbridge Wells, the route includes some dense woodland, much open, gently hilly countryside, imposing sandstone cliffs, and secluded villages. Partly the route follows the High Weald Landscape Trail. The return to Tunbridge Wells is via the Groom Valley. Intended pub stop half way at the hamlet of Eridge Green (drinks/toilets only) but please bring a picnic.
