A meandering route within North London that allows us to combine green spaces with a wide variety of architectural styles ranging from elegant Georgian to 20th century Brutalism via Victorian Gothic, and even mock Tudor. We will pause for our picnic lunch at Kenwood House where hot drinks are available.
If you are not a member of the Hillingdon group, you are welcome to join us but I would be grateful if you would let me know in advance, by text message, your full name and an emergency contact/ICE number.
Some paths are muddy so good footwear is essential. There are no toilets at Archway station but there are coffee shops nearby - McDonalds and Starbucks. There are plenty of public toilets on the route, the first being about 30 mins from the start.
Both Archway and Belsize Park stations are on the Northern line. The C11 bus from opposite Finchley Road station (stop FJ) to Archway via Belsize Park is a good alternative.
