Overview

This walk is not for the faint hearted as it includes some very steep hills, but if you come along, you will be rewarded with amazing views across the Kent countryside and a great sense of achievement (as well as slightly tired legs 😊).

Terrain: Mainly well trodden footpaths, we will initially visit a viewing point overlooking the Downs, before dropping down to the remains of Thurnham castle. We’ll walk through fields, orchards and woodland around Thurnham including sections of the North Downs Way and Augustine Camino before returning to our starting point. Please wear sturdy footwear and bring a drink and packed lunch for a midway stop.
