We are a very active and friendly Ramblers group. Our programme explores the most attractive countryside in the surrounding area including the Surrey Hills.
Meet 10.00 at Hoebridge Golf Club. There are several car parks at the Club. Please park and meet in the first car park, on the right at the top of the hill. It's different from the other car parks, it's the overflow car park and has a gravel surface. Leaving the Club the circular walk heads South towards the Fox Way. Broad Mead, Wey Navigation Canal, Papercourt Lock, Newark Lock, Pyrford Village, returning along side the golf course to the Club. (there are no facilities on route) The Clubhouse has a cafe/bar and toilet facilities. Please note card payment only. Coffee/tea break al fresco. Late lunch stop at the end of the walk for those wanting to eat in the Clubhouse. Please note ‘muddy boots’ are not permitted in the Clubhouse, either kindly change your footwear or use protective covers.
A circular, undulating walk which can be very muddy in places, especially across Broad Mead. Some of the footpaths cross golf fairways, therefore look right and left before crossing. Please be aware golfers have priority. Golf balls can hurt. Please register your attendance with the Walk Leader by 7pm the evening before.
